Mr. Emmanuel Alpha
It is with profound sorrow and a heavy heart that the St. Mary’s National Alumni Association in the Americas must share the somber news of the passing of Mr. Emmanuel Alpha, a highly respected and cherished former teacher within our educational community. We received this heartbreaking information yesterday from his daughter, confirming his peaceful departure in Sierra Leone.
Mr. Alpha's dedication to his students and his invaluable contributions to our institution, St. Mary’s Catholic School, left an indelible mark on many lives. He will be fondly remembered for his passion for teaching the English Language, wisdom, and kindness.
Our deepest sympathies and heartfelt condolences go out to his family, friends, and all those whose lives he touched during this incredibly difficult time. His legacy will undoubtedly endure through the countless individuals he inspired.
Africo! Pa Alpha! The St. Mary’s family will definitely miss you. Those memories of shouting “come forward; kneel down ” to those who were disturbing class and shaking your left leg while you were reminding us to take our lessons seriously so as to pass in the National Exams will never fade away. You were not only a classroom teacher , but also a father figure.
“Oh trouble! Come forward! You can’t read, but you want to disturb! Kneel down! Get up; you’re a disciplined student!” Those are some of the regular lines you left us with. Sleep on Africo! Rest easy, Pa Alpha! We miss you, Mr. Alpha!
